WHY WE DO COMMUNITY SCREENING?

When Contact Tracing (Option 2) fails us (and I wont get to the reason why, as we all know why...) - we can do Option 1 (mass testing) .

But Option 1 is expensive 😓 - as its require more test kit and manpower..

[This is a thread]... So what can we do?

We employ Option 3 - Targeted Community Screening.

We find the most probable area to screen to get the highest probability to catch those undiagnosed positives..

There's a loss of context when we treat cases numbers like a scoreboard. For numbers to be comparable, it must be standardized by rate, say per 10k population. Even this doesn't paint the whole picture.

- a thread ... CLUSTERS - popular and have fancy name, carry different community transmission risk based on context. One that happens in a detention centre (is unfortunate still) carry less risk than one that happens within a community.
