I’ve long been a fan of Registered Reports, but only recently got to experience the process first-hand. It was even better than I expected. Some (probably unoriginal) thoughts below There are many good scientific arguments for Registered Reports in terms of rigor, reproducibility, etc. (see e.g. this piece by @chrisdc77 nature.com/articles/d4158…)
