Something struck me while listening to the @GenFlynn @SidneyPowell1 hearing. Lawyers have ruined law. They’ve made it unnecessarily complex. Our legal system isn’t based on the constitution. It’s based on precedences and complex layers of case law that don’t match reality. Prosecutors prosecute. Defendants defend. Judges oversee the process like a referee in a boxing match. If a referee were to take a swing at one of the two boxers the fight would be immediately stopped. The referee would be immediately thrown out and possibly charged with assault.

Dads, I could use some peer review on my thoughts. I spent years thinking about how to frighten the boys who would one day want to be with my daughter but something I never expected happened. The first boy came along and I like him. I’ve had to rethink my whole strategy. I realized that one day a man is going to become one of my sons. He’s going to raise my grandchildren. I want that man to know I have his back. I want him to trust me when he needs another man in his journey as a father. I want him to see me as a father and brother in Christ.

What we are seeing in Virginia is law enforcement done right. There are important lessons to be learned here and I would like to propose some national changes to the entire legal system. @NationalSheriff The authority to enforce the law must necessarily include the authority to use dealt force. This is a sacred trust that should be endowed with great caution. No one should have that authority without answering directly to the people they serve. That authority has grown unchecked.

How much thought have you put into where your red line is? How much are you willing to sacrifice to ensure that the next generation has the opportunity to live in a nation governed by the rule of law? These are very important questions for us all to consider. People who wait for a crisis before they decide what they’re going to do usually don’t make very good decisions. People who think ahead and consider their neighbors are less likely to find themselves standing alone in times of trouble.
