This #ElectoralBonds order is interesting.
As we know, illicit donations are orders of magnitude bigger than what political parties get through electoral bonds. Which raises the question: why did BJP create electoral bonds? Possibly because these are formal donations.
Next question. Why did the BJP suddenly need to amp up its formal donations? What expenditure cannot be met through informal donations? To me, one answer lies in the party's expenditure on social media campaigning -- and its disinformation architecture?
