I want to tell you a story about a woman named Sara. Sara was a licensed clinical social worker who lived in Brooklyn, supported Bernie Sanders in 2016 but was a fan of Elizabeth Warren, and tweeted a LOT. 1/ When Warren endorsed Hillary in 2016, Sara posted a photo of herself burning a “Warren” t-shirt. She *insisted* Bernie would be the nominee well after Hillary had earned a majority of pledged delegates, after Bernie had ENDORSED Hillary, and all the way up to the convention. 2/

Had Al Gore been president on 9/11, I truly believe he'd have used the unbelievable unity we had in the wake of that tragedy to build support for a massive, New Deal style investment in renewable energy - wind, solar, infrastructure... It would have done three things: 1) Freed us from our reliance on middle east oil & strengthened our hand in dealing with terrorism; 2) Created millions of jobs; 3) Helped with climate change.
