Some good news on the #greenwoodfire in NE Minn. Latest estimate from thermal imaging camera is 8,862 acres, meaning it didn't grow in last 24hrs. Clark McCreedy with the interagency incident mgmt team tells @MPRnews higher humidity, lower temps, cloud cover are helping. McCreedy also says local volunteer fire departments really stepped up to protect cabins & homes along Hwy 2 as the fire spread. No injuries reported & no buildings burned.
