Just caught up on today’s #HUMA committee on #CDB. I am so impressed by the united message from the disability community - we need benefit so desperately. I was shocked to hear testimony from one of the witnesses 20 years ago ODSP was sufficient for a disabled person … 1/🧵 … to rent housing, albeit at the lowest end of the market. Now, they’re $1k off. That’s so awful - we have lost so much. To hear @samuelragot talk of individualization is so important. Disabled people deserve that dignity of their own money, just like everyone else. 2/🧵
