Prophet Yousef was thrown into a well by his brothers, sold as a slave, accused of a crime he did not commit, and imprisoned for years.

Yet, he never lost hope or faith in Allah.

He knew that Allah had a purpose for everything that happened to him

A true friend in Islam: The Prophet (PBUH) gave us a beautiful and profound example of friendship in this hadith:

“The believer is the mirror of his brother. The believer is the brother of another believer. He safeguards his property for him and defends him from behind.”

(Bukhari and Muslim)

Allah wants you to think of this: Sometimes we feel disappointed or frustrated when things don’t go our way.

We wonder why we didn’t get that job, that promotion, that opportunity.

We think we deserved it, we worked hard for it, we prayed for it.

Ruling of marrying someone who does not pray

Let’s explore some evidences from the Quran and Sunnah: Prayer is the second pillar of Islam and the most important act of worship after the testimony of faith.

Allah says in the Quran: “And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].” (2:43)

Salah (prayer) is a source of peace, guidance, and mercy.

But what if you don’t feel comfort during salah? What if you feel distracted, bored, or restless?

In this thread, I will share some tips that may help you 1. Understand what you are reciting in salah.

This means to learn the meanings of the words and phrases that you say in salah, such as the takbir (saying Allahu akbar), the fatihah (the opening chapter of the Quran)..

“And He will soothe the hearts of those who believe.” (8:10)

What does it mean to soothe the hearts of those who believe? It means to fill them with tranquility, contentment, and happiness.

It means to remove their doubts, fears, and worries. It means to grant them security, confidence, and hope.

It means to make them pleased with Allah and His decree.

The Day of Arafah is tomorrow

Here are some tips and reminders for you: The first and foremost thing to do on the day of Arafah is Fast.

Fasting on this day expiates the sins of two years: the previous year and the coming year.

It also protects us from the hellfire and brings us closer to Allah. So make sure you fast with intention and sincerity

Signs that Allah is satisfied with you: 1. Allah guides you to do good deeds and avoid prohibited things. This shows that He has increased your guidance and piety. Allah says: "While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance and bestows on them their piety" (Muhammad: 17)

This ayah

"Indeed, Allah will not change a person's circumstances unless and until they change what is in themselves" (13:11)

is often quoted to motivate us to take action and improve ourselves.

But what does it really mean to change what is in ourselves?

A thread: The scholars have explained that changing what is in ourselves refers to changing our intentions, beliefs, actions and habits. It means to align ourselves with the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him).

Salah is a priceless gift from Allah that enables us to communicate with Him and seek His help.

But many of us struggle with "khushu" in Salah
