Wueh... I've never taken in so much truth about love and relationships like I did last month.

Let me break it down... First, props to the creative team who put together this trailer for the series. 😂😂😂

Over 50 million Kenyans are waking up to a new President after Dr William Ruto took the oath of office yesterday, becoming the East African Nation’s Fifth President.

Here are my favourite captures from the Inauguration Ceremony.

#InaugurationKenya By the time I got to Kasarani at 5.30am, thousands were already in the Stadium and thousands more were making their way in on foot, boda boda and cars to make sure they arrived before the stadium was at capacity.

As 10 years of an Uhuru Kenyatta Presidency come to a close, here - in chronological order - are some of the moments that he’s found himself in my camera’s viewfinder. The first time was on 27th August 2010 during the Constitution Promulgation Ceremony at Uhuru Park when he was one of four Deputy Prime Ministers. I didn’t get a very good shot of him though.

What does it take to have a video or photography shoot on the streets of Nairobi?

Let me breakdown the process I had to go through last week.

#Nairobi #Nairobae I did a video showing the step-by-step process which you can watch here:

Alternatively, you can read along.

Last Wednesday, I took a mid-week inspiration-seeking trip to Shompole with two friends.

Our first stop was Lake Magadi.

The beauty here is just... You just have to experience it yourself. ImageImageImageImage Not even a panorama can do this place justice.

But just watch and imagine.

Kenya’s most scenic spaces are to be found north of the Equator. To experience them, we loaded up the Forester, charged our batteries and left for Marsabit on a 4-day photographic trip that ended up being a 7-day adventure.

#TembeaKenya #AfricanTravel #OnetouchLive #TheBigNorth For many years, The Big North was a forgotten territory. Lack of infrastructure meant only resilient pastoralists and opportunistic bandits called this home. But around 15 years ago, Kibaki’s government decided to prioritise tarmacking of the A2 from Isiolo to Moyale.

10 photographers, 2 cars, 16 days on the road, Nairobi to Bujumbura.

Pick a comfortable seat. This is a long thread.

Welcome onboard.

Images by @OneTouchMediaKe members.

#OnetouchLive #AfricanTravel We originally wanted to do Nairobi - Namibia. Instead of cancelling the entire trip when finances refused to cooperate, we changed our destination to Bujumbura.

We even appeared on NTV’s The Trend with @LarryMadowo to share our vision.

I'd never been to Sierra Leone before. So after my photography assignment there was done, I got to tour Freetown and this was my experience.

#SaloneTwitter #Freetown #SierraLeone The international airport is in Lungi, from where you need to catch a 20-minute $40 boat ride to Freetown. The alternative is a 3-hour road trip to the capital.

Six years had passed since my last visit to Amboseli. I couldn't wait any longer. So when Uhuru gave us the uhuru to leave Nai, I got together with three friends & headed to Kilimanjaro's forecourt.

An elephant attack & other stories from #Amboseli.

#TembeaKenya #MagicalKenya ImageImageImageImage Our first stop was Kalekye's in Emali for fruits and veggies that @mumbi_muturi @joshkisamwa @truthslinger and I would enjoy during our 4-day, 3-night camping trip.

For slightly over 18 months now, I have been documenting the construction of the Kipeto Energy Wind Farm in Kajiado.

Today I'd like to share part of the clean energy revolution I've had the pleasure of witnessing.

#KipetoEnergy #WindFarm #RenewableEnergy #Vision2030 One of the first events I documented was a house handover in Dec 2018. Because residents of the area were going to be moved to make way for the turbines, Kipeto Energy built them 3-bedroom houses - complete with solar power - a safe distance from the turbines.

A couple of days ago, I hit the streets of Nairobi to find out how movement restrictions had affected fellow Nairobians. From Bus Station to Wangige, Gikomba to City Market, these are
#CovidNairobiStories

#COVID19KE #covid19kenya #Nairobi I was joined by @BoniMuthoni on this project.

We started at Nairobi Fire Station at 0613hrs on 15th May 2020 and met John who used to work as a night shift tout, but since the curfew directive was given, feeding his wife and two children has become a struggle.

I just flipped my 43rd calendar yesterday.

Here are 43 stories I'd like to re-share with you.

I'll kick it off with Groove Awards, May 2009. Concert photography was calling out my name and Groove provided the opportunity for me to respond. mwarv.click.co.ke/2009/05/02/gro…
#GrooveAwards 2. @danaceda's #Benganology Album Launch Concert in July 2010. I met him in 2007 and he still remains one of my all-time favourite performers. mwarv.click.co.ke/2010/07/30/ben…

It's been quite a day, witnessing fellow Kenyans pay their final respects to our Second President at Nyayo Stadium.

A photo thread.

Early morning, Nairobi streets were free off the regular traffic as it was a public holiday.

#MoiFinalJourney #TheFinalSalute Police in ceremonial uniform lined the route the hearse carrying Moi would use to Nyayo National Stadium, venue for today's funeral service.

After 11 years of faithful service, I let go of my 2001 Subaru Forester this January.

Here are some of the adventures Silvester and I have been on around Africa.

Part 1. Firstly, why Silvester? It's a Silver Forester and you know how Kuyos are big on combining names...

I acquired Silvester in March 2008 as a direct import from Japan with 58,000kms on the odo. At handover, I'd taken it up to 268,189kms.
