After a year of research, the @Tulane Immigrant Rights Clinic is releasing a report next week on prolonged and punitive immigration detention in Louisiana. Join us on Tues, 5/25 at 11am CT as we review major findings, register here: tulane.zoom.us/webinar/regist… For this report, our students analyzed 499 habeas cases challenging unlawful immigration detention in federal court in Louisiana. This research comes as these last resort habeas filings have dramatically risen in the past year, with immigrants held longer & during COVID.
