Studying the Qur'an on its own terms, I realised that whilst it teaches universal ideals, there are some hadith/fatawa that run totally parallel to it making petty, non-quranic additions to Islam These mostly originate from the rabbis. 1/ Image The Qur'an shows no antipathy to dogs, actually the opposite (Q 5:4, 18:8) some hadith do, as did the Rabbis : Dog owners are cursed (Bava Kamma 8:38), their good deeds deducted (Bukhari, 2145)/2
