I’m hearing from contacts within US SOF that Dan Crenshaw, among others, is pushing hard for an AUMF against the Mexican drug cartels.

While this might sound like a good idea to some, it’s a complete disaster and would result in death & destruction for our country. Let’s count the ways this is a bad idea.

1. Our borders are wide open and under the operational control of the cartels already.

2. Millions of illegal aliens, many of whom are cartel connected, have already infiltrated the US & we have scant information on their whereabouts.
