For #BlackInBiological, let me tell you about PfcPRS, the protein that was at the center of my PhD research. The image above is a representation of the structure of the human version of the protein (this will be important later 😀). Here it is: the first mass spectrum that I ever collected, which captivated my young mind and never let go. In the almost decade and a half since, I have dallied with other techniques, but I always return to my first love. #BlackInChem #BlackInAnalytical this is from my undergraduate research in David Lynn's lab at @EmoryUniversity where I tested methods to achieve the linear polymerization of simple rings under mild conditions. #BlackInChem #BlackInAnalytical
