Why is Gov. DeWine too coward to debate?

Frankly, I get it. There are a lot of things in his record that Mike DeWine doesn't want to answer to voters about.

🧵1/6 It could be his government mandate restricting our health care decisions.

Mike DeWine has said to anti-choice groups that he wants to go "as far as possible" to ban abortion in Ohio with no exceptions for rape or incest.

I'm thankful that there were no fatal injuries at the shooting outside a high school football game last night in Toledo.

But kids shouldn't have to live in fear of gun violence at school. This is at least the third shooting at a high school football game this year.

That is unacceptable.

3 years ago today, Mike DeWine signed House Bill 6.

Not only is the law at the center of a massive bribery scandal, it was just awful policy: it gutted renewable energy standards, gutted energy efficiency standards, and bailed out failing power plants. vox.com/energy-and-env… So why did Gov. DeWine sign this disastrous bill? It could be because of this: daytondailynews.com/local/firstene…

Two years ago today, we learned of the huge bribery scandal engulfing GOP politicians (including Mike DeWine), lobbyists, and a massive utility company – a scandal that led the FBI to refer to Ohio as “in a league of its own” when it comes to corruption. 🧵cincinnati.com/story/news/202… In the two years since, Ohioans have learned just how intertwined Gov. DeWine’s administration is to the scandal.

Yet DeWine and his administration have refused to provide answers or documentation about their involvement. cleveland.com/open/2020/07/f…

Cheryl & I are honored to have the support of so many dedicated leaders and organizations.

Ohioans are ready for bold, new leadership that puts their interests first, not the interests of wealthy donors and lobbyists.

That’s the leadership @CherylForOhio and I are committed to. Today, leaders across the state – from Cleveland City Councilwoman Stephanie Howse to Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack to elected officials in Hamilton County and others – announced their endorsement of the Whaley-Stephens ticket for Governor and Lieutenant Governor.
