NEW: The autism world says RFK Jr.'s messaging and policies could set back decades of progress. The community has worked for years to dispel the false contention that vaccines cause autism.

But they say there's more he obfuscates 🧵

nbcnews.com/politics/white… Kennedy often begins his vaccines-cause-autism argument by spinning a narrative that he didn’t know severely autistic children when he grew up, and doesn’t know any at his age now.

nbcnews.com/politics/2022-… Financial disclosures also show that Johnson accepted more than $8K in campaign contributions this year from KENNETH CHESEBRO – another significant player alleged to be involved in the fake electors scheme as well as the Fulton County case.

Mock lynchings, electroshock, suffocation, beatings and burning. These were the tactics employed by white Chicago police detectives on black suspects for years. And for years, the system protected it, and cops covered up for each other.

politico.com/news/magazine/… A direct line can be drawn between long ignored torture of black suspects in Chicago and the 2014 shooting of Laquan McDonald.

Cops reflexively covered for their own—even when they’ve done wrong. Politicians did little unless faced with incontrovertible evidence.

Antioch University stands firm in its denial that Reade graduated.

NEW: As Michael Bloomberg defended stop-and-frisk, he likened NY’s ACLU to the NRA. He did the same with the teacher’s union, something Randi Weingarten at the time called “disgusting.” politico.com/news/2020/02/1… Bloomberg’s NRA comparison to the teacher’s union especially upset teachers because it came just a month after the Sandy Hook elementary shootings. In a letter to Bloomberg at the time, Weingarten noted that two members of her union were among those gunned down.
