Trump-appointed Judges James Ho and Elizabeth Branch, who are boycotting hiring clerks from Yale over campus "cancel culture," have weighed in on the Stanford protest involving Judge Kyle Duncan, saying law students who disrupt speakers should be punished. nationalreview.com/2023/03/stop-t… How should law schools punish them? Per the judges, not just suspend or expel student protestors, but also "threaten to report negatively on a student’s character and fitness to state bar examiners" and "identify the disrupters so that future employers know who they are hiring."

The number of complaints filed against federal judges under the Judicial Conduct and Disability Act increased 19% in the 2022 fiscal year to 1,520, the federal judiciary reported today. uscourts.gov/statistics-rep… That said, the bulk (1,319) were related to the merits of a decision or ruling, which is typically grounds for dismissal of a misconduct complaint. Chief judges of the circuits dismissed 1,135 complaints in whole or in part in 2022.

I'm back in court today for the second day of trial in the case of five former #Insys Therapeutics executives and managers including founder John Kapoor who are accused of bribing doctors to prescribe an addictive fentanyl spray. The first witness will be Holly Brown, a former Insys sales representative, prosecutors said in court this morning.
