From @QalaatAlMudiq we have parts of drone wreckage of a OWA UAV that reportedly targeted US forces in Qasrak, Syria several days ago. Iranian backed PMF groups have reportedly been firing drones & missiles from Iraq into Syria. We noticed something peculiar about the wreckage🧵. First let’s look at the components of the wreckage.

There is a Hobbywing FlyFun HV 130A ESC noted in the photo. The brushless motor most closely resembles a T-MOTOR VL series. The housing that connects to the fuselage is also extremely unique & is similar to some seen elsewhere. Image

This is the German Die Drohne Antiradar/DAR. In spite of the fact that many disagree, we feel that the wide variety of OWA UAVs that we see utilized in conflicts across the globe today have a direct lineage to the DAR.

After the FPV drone attack by Ukraine on the Russian strategic bomber fleet there was much discussion surrounding the drones utilized in the attack.

One peculiarity we did notice on the design of drones was the long cylindrical portion that ran from the front to rear motors.

Image In their appearance for us, it didn’t seem like this was a design feature to enhance structural integrity of the drone itself.

One of the possibilities we came up w/ was that these were radial shape charges/EFPs. We believe this is accurate based on photos from @en_censor_net. Image
