Several days ago in the midst of getting-our-house-ready-to-list chaos, our puppy Loki got on the kitchen table and took a bottle of our older dog's NSAID. @AVindman discovered it & we immediately called our vet who was closing for the evening but gave us emergency options. I called 4 facilities near us but all were at capacity & not taking new cases. Finally one suggested I call @ASPCA poison control. They were brilliant! The doctor on duty took time to talk through everything with me & write up a treatment plan.

Let's not forget Ivanka called the insurrectionists patriots. Ivanka & Jared pretended to work in the administration while they were making HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Where is that story? Last year my friend, a small business owner, was phished & scammed out of $60k. Her account was emptied in hours. She's had to use personal funds to operate & pay atty fees but @TruistNews has used their considerable power to delay knowing she won't be able to keep fighting. The banking industry has a powerful lobby that thwarts policy changes aimed at providing more protections for consumers b/c modernization will cut into their enormous profits. @TruistNews posted a $1.3 BILLION profit for ONE QUARTER

I want to share a story 🧵

One morning in early July 2020, someone called & asked if I was aware that the previous day WH Chief of Staff @MarkMeadows called in Army Sec Ryan McCarthy and SECDEF Esper. The purpose of the meeting was to berate them for having @AVindman’s name on the promotion list and pressure/order them to remove him.

I immediately began shivering. My teeth were chattering. I stepped outside in VA in July but I wasn’t cold, I was shaking from adrenaline.

Each week I receive several DMs from female service members who have been the victims of sexual harassment/assault. Invariably the victims were too scared to speak up or they spoke up & faced consequences. I've never been in the military but I believe these women. Last week I saw a post from an army public affairs officer w/ a history of degrading women. When a leader publicly tweets something like that from a verified account, it perpetuates the notion that SH/SA victims will not be heard and/or treated fairly when reporting abuse.
