Harris has introduced/cosponsored multiple bills re: Black maternal mortality, including the Maternal CARE Act, the MOMS Act, the MOMMIES Act, and the Healthy Maternity and Obstetric Medicine Act.

Last year she told @SELFmagazine it's "an issue that should concern everyone" In August 2018 she introduced the Maternal Care Access and Reducing Emergencies (CARE) Act, proposing grants for:
~10 states to create pregnancy medical home (PMH) programs
- implicit bias training in health-care training programs
- more studies on implicit bias in providers

Some people like to jump right into Seriously Doing Freelance immediately; but taking time to relax and process what’s happening is completely okay.
