Reuters supplied nearly $4 million worth of news services—including text, video, and photos—to IRIB and its subsidiary Press TV, U.S.-sanctioned state media arms linked to Iran’s IRGC and known for broadcasting forced confessions and regime propaganda.

Reuters communicated payment requests directly with Peyman Jebelli, a senior IRIB executive with close ties to Ayatollah Khamenei and a key figure in Iran’s global information warfare strategy. 🧵 Leaked internal emails from 2021 obtained by NCRI show a Reuters director sought roughly $3.88M in overdue payments from IRIB, Press TV’s parent org.

Likely due to sanctions, IRIB couldn’t pay directly, so it introduced a third-party agent. Reuters agreed to receive payment through that agent.

NEW REPORT: On May 21, two Israeli Embassy staff were murdered outside the Jewish Museum in D.C. The shooter was linked to U.S. activist groups now under scrutiny for their ties to Iran and the CCP.

Leaked data shows Iran’s state media engaged these groups—and even paid them. 🧵 Elias Rodriguez, the accused shooter, had prior affiliations with the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) and the ANSWER Coalition.

Organizers of the violent demonstration included 6 Dutch pro-Palestinian groups active on Instagram.

One if not the ringleader of the violence was the PGNL, a Dutch Palestinian community group with a nationwide presence and cross-platform social media accounts.

The NCRI finds large increases in antisemitic disinformation now trending across social media sites, including Reddit and Twitter (below, NCRI seeking to fill data gap now). In a report from last Dec, NCRI finds that antisemitic disinformation reliably emerges during episodes of critical vulnerability for democratic societies - from state actors, extremist and conspiracy communities - conjoining together to amplify the signal, like a fever spiking.

NCRI is finding evidence of planning behind the recent storming of the Capitol Building. Evidence includes this image, found on Facebook in groups with over 150k followers, the Trump Train in late Dec. Posts were also detected on Twitter and 8chan. Analysis from NCRI shows simultaneous increases in related hashtags on Twitter suggesting wide adoption of the coded operation.
