Entertainers charge, ministers don’t.
See Christian entertainment is good and its ok to pay for it but when we’re inviting a must MINISTER and you’re asking for a range or specific amount as payment, thats not minister. That’s business.
When God told Pastor Nath not to charge-
he wasn’t wealthy! So “God told Pastor Nath…did he tell you?”
It’s not an excuse.
The music ministers that don’t charge, there’s a reason why their music is the way it is!
It seems like the deeper your consecration, the louder the voice of God not to charge.
There MUST be -

Ministry is a funny journey.
You will be kind to people, pray with them, stand with them, correct in love mourn with them, teach them and help them grow then finally; get stabbed in the back.
Get stabbed and accused with the same goodness you showed! E.g financial assistance-
- is interpreted as bribery.
Kind words and/or correction is interpreted manipulative tactics and toxicity.
It’s so funny but it lets me know only God can mark our scripts and mark it well.
Only God sees the full story and doesn’t need to hear both sides. I will never be able-

Concerning faith confessions…
First of all, faith confessions aren’t saying what you want God to do for you. Our words have no power in themselves.
After Jesus cursed the fig tree, Peter was in awe and said “master see the tree your cursed is dead!” Jesus replied “have faith-
In God…whosoever SAYS to this mountain…”
This coupled with salvation’s “with the heart man believes and with the mouth you confess…” shows that if you believe it, you will say it.
Having said that, faith confessions are saying what God has said about you or concerning you.

1. Election can be a picture of your values.
Who AND WHY you’re supporting that candidate is enough reason for me to give you space.
It may show you value money more than justice and progress.
You can kill me if it favors you. It may show your value system is warped!
2. “Separate your faith from politics”?
I get you shouldn’t use your office of clergy for plain political agenda cos that’s not what the office is for but isn’t our faith the lens through which we see all things again?
And what I mean is the office of a clergy-

1. The coming of Jesus marked 2 things.
The acceptable year of the Lord - a period where men can accept His sacrifice and be saved from wrath.
The day of vengeance - a period where those who reject the sacrifice will face God in his full wrath.
2. To those who have believed, the former is their lot. They have entered into His sabbath and rest but to those who reject Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross are condemned already and will face the wrath to come.
A theologian said “hell isn’t the absence of God…

God designed it that teaching was the means to fix the ailing believer.
Don’t take teaching meeting to be less in value that “special” or miracle meetings.
2 Thess 3:10 - the job of Paul as a ministry gift was to REPAIR or supply what’s lacking in their faith. He was going to-
2. - do this, he was going to teach.
Paul taught in the house of Tyrannus daily for over 2 years… just imagine the crop of believers that’ll flow from this consistent attendance of these meetings.
It’s the word that builds up (Acts 20:32).
Holy Ghost fireworks -

A quick rant
1. Always broken, never whole.
Always seeking, never finding
Always hungry, never satisfied
This is a dangerous path I see some of my brothers in Christ towing.
We keep seeking lofty realms that we don’t even know what has been made available-
2. And when we “touch” what has been made available we camp around it like it’s a dimension that’s an exclusive preserve for a few.
Reading through the epistles, you don’t find believers as the “hungry lot”. We are the ones who were hungry for righteousness and have been filled.

1. Sometimes, it’s not about “it is right or wrong?” Sometimes it’s about “is it wise?” Or “is it expedient”?
The Christian life is one of sacrifice.
It’s a call to lay aside even some legit privileges for the sake of the saint who doesn’t know better.
2. We see Paul say in 1 Cor 8:3 if meat would cause a brother to fall then he’ll rather do away with meat.
Meat isn’t wrong but if you cause a brother to stumble in your right because of meat, you’ve sinned!
Simply put: the reason for morals is love.
Love for God, love for men.

A short thread 1. Modesty is always in fashion for the believer. It’s not a trend, it’s not something that’s enough for a generation, it’s one of the boundaries we ENJOY in our liberty in Christ.
It isn’t about how far is too far, it’s about not venturing far at all and gladly.
2. Because you’ve been bought with a price, you’re to glorify God in your mortal body.
I’m zeroing it down to dressing now.
When someone talks about the length of some clothes don’t say “it’s because you’re struggling with lust”. They may be but you too is the cloth decent?

1. Let me give a very unpopular take and all things being equal, it’ll punch some folks while others will attack me for it and that’s ok.
Having said that, as a believer, be careful who you stan!
E.g many of us stan unmarried cohabiting couples who are sexing up…
2. …and we’ve segmented our values and morals into 2 very convenient boxes. The obvious morals and the other we actually secretly like but “will” never act on.
We love these couples, follow them and engage all their content…

“Your pastor is just a man like you”
True but not true
A short THREAD
There are many statements, though true at face value but, must be examined within the proper context.
Many statements like the above are actually true but many say them within the context of amplifying the frailties and human limitations of your/their pastor.
