I’ve never really used AI tools for anything other than replacing google search, but a friend recently convinced me to try leaning on one to explore a new area of programming I haven’t done much work in before. I’ve collected a few of my thoughts on the experience: There appears to be an exponential quality falloff the longer you keep a conversation going. If ChatGPT can give you the answer on the first try the quality is often reasonable, but the more I probe the more it lies / hallucinates.
