1. Musk lays off very significant proportion of perm employees.

We're too expensive to keep on, having RSUs that converted to vesting cash at $54.20 when the deal closed. Tweep comp is just too high now, compared to a market where other big tech stocks are in the toilet, and Twitter's would've been as well.

And Twitter's newfound debt interest payments are big. That money's got to come from somewhere.
