Hajj 2025: Nigerian Pilgrims Begin Journey from Madinah to Makkah.

After spending four days in Madinah, the Prophet's City, the first contingent of 1,874 Nigerian Pilgrims from Imo, Bauchi, Kebbi, Osun and Kogi states, have started moving to Makkah today, Wednesday, 14 May 2025.
This marks the first set of Nigerian Pilgrims to enter Makkah for the 2025 Hajj from Nigeria, representing a significant milestone in Nigeria's participation in this year's Hajj.

The Saudi Arabia ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made it mandatory for pilgrims from all countries participating in the 2025 hajj to have a Nusuk card that carries their details. The ministry disclosed that this is for easy identification of genuine pilgrims as well as gaining access to the holy sites in both Makkah, Madina and Masha’ir.

Hence, the Madina NAHCON committee on Passport Management Control was saddled with the responsibility of getting the Nusuk Card for Nigerian pilgrims.

Presidency Confirms Selection of Four Air Carriers for 2025 Hajj Operations, NAHCON Signs 2025 MoU

The Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Prof Abdullahi Saleh Usman, is pleased to announce that the Presidency has approved four airlines as official air carriers for pilgrims of the 2025 Hajj.
