We saw Chinese HCW wearing extensive PPE on news from the very beginning. As far early as 2nd week of January. The warnings were there.
Many countries ignored. Failed to prepare. And country after country is getting hit hard while un-prepared.
Unprotected HCWs will get infected Infected HCWs can become super-spreaders.
Loss of limited, skilled, first line HCWs and specialist ICU teams - if they quit OR FAR WORSE - will leave a healthcare system unable to provide the essential services.

This can't just keep repeating in country after country!

The public health and health system response in China to 2019-nCoV is visible to everyone via TV, news, their own reports, etc.
•They are openly sharing data and info - unprecedented
•They closed down whole cities
•The use of personal protection equipment by HCW is visible •HCW are being mobilized from all over the country to manage this outbreak.

They are NOT responding to this as “it’s just a cold”. Emerging zoonotic communicable diseases are public health concerns.
