I had a classmate who moved from Plymouth, MA to central Virginia back when I was in HS

He came over to me one day asked in a hushed tone of voice 'why are there so many black people in this school?' 🤦‍♂️ Southern racism was about white peoples managing proximity to black people (aka, 'hate the race, love the people')

(1) 90% of problems are caused by 2% of the students

(2) some kids are just bad eggs, it happens @alwaysadblock And (2) is not necessarily due to some sort of trauma. I've taught in mostly middle income to outright affluent high schools. Yes, I've run into some that come from very comfortable backgrounds with dedicated parents...and are still complete assholes.
