APPEAL | Do you recognise this man?

We want to speak to him in connection with a report of sexual assault in Newcastle city centre.

1/4 Photo of the man we would like to trace It was reported to have happened at around 1am on Sunday, March 23, inside of The Mushroom bar on Grainger Street.

It's understood a man had been walking behind a woman going upstairs, and has lifted up her dress and touched her without consent

Six people have now been charged in connection with violent disorder which took place in #Sunderland – with more arrests made.

It comes as our investigation into the disgraceful scenes witnessed on Friday continues.

1/5 Police officers in Sunderland. A man – aged 17 – has today been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and is currently in police custody.

Following today’s activity, the total number of arrests made stands at 14.

Six of those arrested have now been charged.

#UPDATE Officers investigating the vandalism of an iconic #Northumberland tree have made a second arrest.🚨

A full investigation was launched after the Sycamore Gap Tree was felled overnight between Wednesday & Thursday in what we believe was a deliberate act of vandalism. (1/4) Two images of sycamore gap. Since then, a range of enquires have been ongoing, with the support of partners.

And this evening, we have arrested a second male – in his 60s – in connection with the incident.

He remains in police custody at this time and is assisting us with our enquiries. 🚔 (2/4)
