2. There are only three reasons an aircraft in flight will find itself below 10,000 feet:
either it's taking off,
it's landing,
or it's crashing.
In none of those circumstances would you want the aircrew to be thinking about anything other than flying the plane.

Many years ago I was a trainee at a hospital in East Grinstead with an awesome reputation, due to a famous surgeon who conducted a series of pioneering experiments in plastic surgery on burned RAF pilots during World War II.
2. I learned to do axillary brachial plexus blocks there for hand/forearm trauma. Initially I got very good at what I used to call my ‘Grinstead block’: one that completely numbed every part of the arm… except the wound.

Halfway through my endo list yesterday the DSU nurse came in.
“The last patient's arrived with his mother. He’s autistic and says he gets seizures when he is overstimulated.” She handed me his file. “There’s a letter from the neurologist”.
2. The neurologist said the ‘seizures’ came on with extreme pain/anxiety. The patient had been extensively investigated; there was no neurological basis for this problem; in the event of a ‘pseudoseizure’ the advice was “do not give anticonvulsants; the episode will quickly pass”
