This weekend I put out my first ratings for the Virginia House in 2021 going seat by seat. Overall the seats break out as follows
34- Safe Dem 7- Likely Dem 7- Leans Dem 3- Slight Lean D 5- Toss Up 1- Slight Lean GOP 1- Leans GOP 3- Likely GOP 39- Safe GOP
Even with a Dem majority the (mostly) GOP drawn maps, give Republicans a 39-34 advantage in safe seats and a 42-41 edge in the likely or better seats. But strong Dem incumbents tip the balance to a 48-43 Dem advantage when you factor in seats leaning or better.

It's 6:45 on the east coast. Polls have not closed entirely in any state but partially in KY and IN. Trump has an early lead in both states but neither was called at poll closing as the networks are all being very careful this year.

Everyone needs to breathe about election night. Biden will have it won by 10 pm, and called by midnight.
Here’s how the night will play out (eastern time). Polls will close in parts of KY and IN at 6. By 630 we will see Trump’s numbers down from 2016 in most areas. IN won’t flip but will start to tell us what’s happening in region.

Contested elections at this convention were held for members of the DNC for the next four years as well as the 2 at large members of the electoral college for Virginia should Joe Biden carry VA in November.

Very concerned about what is going on in Richmond tomorrow. The Gov has declared *mandatory* telework for everyone in executive branch, and barred his employes from going to General Assembly because of the danger.
Yet the legislative leadership is refusing to cancel committee meetings against the advice they are getting from public safety officials. It's a bravado move that endangers the janitors, food service workers, and other state employees who have to be there when leg is meeting.

This is a real radio ad currently running in Arkansas in support of Republican Congressman French Hill on radio stations targeted to the African American community. I don't even have words to describe it.
It's hard to piss off every single constituency in the Democratic Party at once, but this ad might have done it.
