If you are someone who grew up in a dysfunctional household in one way or another, I cannot recommend highly enough finding some way to regularly spend time with another healthy family with adults a generation older than you ideally they have children who are also around, ideally you are really seeing this family in real action

maybe finding a way to serve them / do something they need doing, coming over to help them with a reoccuring chore while chatting, etc
