Rivers State was created on Saturday 27th May 1967 by Gen. Yakubu Gowon. After the creation of Bayelsa in 1996,the state divided into 7 political blocks namely; Ikwerre/Etche,Orashi, Kalabari, Igbani, Andoni,Okrika and Ogoni. IKWERRE/ETCHE BLOCK
