A few words about XDV.

I came across this blog article recently, and it claims XDV is "a recombinant between Delta and Omicron variants".

There might be something to keep an eye on in Singarpoe, possibly related to recombinant lineage XBB.
So I took a quick look at GISAID (thanks to everyone uploading and sharing the sequences!), and prevalence of XBB seems on a rise in Singapore since Sept. 12th. 1/n As someone who regularly keep track of various recombinant lineages, it's the first time I see a recombinant growing in such a manner. Maybe it's just because of S'pore doing excellent sequencing surveillances? but definitely worth some close monitoring IMO 2/n

2/n So here's a Google Spreadsheet of some potential recombinants. It's very primitive, a bit messy, a few days outdated, nowhere conclusive, and most importantly, unverified (except for those that already designated by Pango team).

@PeacockFlu The case detected in Hong Kong has been staying in South Africa from Oct. 22nd to Nov. 11th.
He had a PCR negative result before flying from HK to SA, and another negative after arriving at HK from SA. His 2nd test result was positive on Nov. 13th during qurantine. @PeacockFlu 1/ Some update.
