Watching Andrew Luck's retirement press conference brought back a lot of memories. My "last day" was Tuesday, October 13th, 2015... my decision was made at a hotel lobby bar in Detroit after a group tryout with the Lions. Here's my story... My final season was 2014, I was playing for the Chargers and I was a MESS. I had been dealing with severe back pain for 2 years, and it was coming to a head. I became the starting center during a Week 1 game in Arizona, by Week 3 in Buffalo I was very debilitated.

+Players in Memphis came back to their hotels after news came down, and had their personal items waiting in the lobby. Kicked out of their lodgings.

+Amount of money owed to vendors, venues, etc. in San Antonio for training camp is over $4 Million +Reserve/Injured players, “will be left in the cold.” They will be paying for their own rehab/medical expenses.

+High level staff at the team level received email from “The Board” no one received a termination notice from an actual person.

Tom Brady chugging beer story...

Day after Christmas 2010, week 16, we absolutely smoked the Bills and clinched the AFC East. This was one of the rare occasions while I was with the Patriots where I got playing time (starters benched in the 4th, we lead by 31)... While celebrating the win (of the game and division) in the locker room, we were informed we couldn’t take off/land due to a blizzard slamming the Boston area. Also, with the influx of game day visitors, hotel shortages forced us to seek accomodations in Rochester, NY...
