I just read the truly heartbreaking case of Emily Chesterton, a 30yo whose life was abruptly halted due to a case of deep vein thrombosis & pulmonary embolism misdiagnosed as a sprain. It raises questions about who can work in general practice 👇🏻🧵 hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2023-0… 🔍 Physician Associates (PAs) work in GP practices seeing patients with a minimum "1600 hours of clinical placement experience, of which 200 hours can be in simulation".
