1/26 Today marks 93 years since the start of the last Aviation Contest of the Little Entente and Poland in 1930 - a forgotten eastern European aviation competition. This thread is about two interesting participants from Czechoslovakia- the Aero A-42 (photo) and the Letov Š-33.
2/26 At the very end of the 1920s the Czechoslovak Air Force was looking for ways to build a bomber fleet with an actual impact. Naturally it turned to the swiftly growing domestic industry which was already producing really good smaller combat aircraft.

2/20 In Flight International Magazine issue of 10th October 1935 there is an article about a “Novel Two-Control Aeroplane” which gives us beautiful illustrations and talks about an aeroplane which can be flown only using two pilot operated control surfaces – elevator and rudder.
