7 weeks. 75,000 wishlists.

70 million views on short-form content.

Here are 7 more things I've learned about going viral as a solo dev: Image 1. Think like a streamer, not a developer.

Developers think about features, mechanics, and devlogs. Streamers think about reactions, funny moments and what makes someone share a video with a friend.

No one cares about your game. They care about how it makes them feel.

Day 28: Sensory Overload hit 50,000 wishlists.

Zero streamers. Zero budget. No publisher. No media.

Just a solo dev, some short-form videos, and a Steam page. Here's exactly how I did it: Image 1. I don't do dev logs

In my game, you fall through a tunnel and dodge obstacles. There's really not much to talk about.

So instead, I talk about the VIEWER. Some people get motion sick when they play my game. Some lock-in. Tons of ADHD people comment that they feel their brain goes quiet when they watch the gameplay.

So I talk about ADHD, dopamine, personality types, and brain science.

Your game doesn't have to be the main content! Just the background to give people something to do while they listen to you.
