Some thoughts on closing libraries to the public but making your staff come in to work anyway.
1. Libraries employ a lot of people who are elderly, immunocompromised, or who have other serious health conditions which they are managing. Having them come to work is dangerous.
2. Libraries also employ a lot of working parents. Compelling them to come in to work when schools are closed forces them to scramble to make child care arrangements (often involving elderly caregivers); also, parents may bring their children's germs into the workplace.

Listen up, nerds. We need to have a serious talk about Star Trek, optimism and the future.
I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about Star Trek: Discovery and Picard that the showrunners have deprived us of the essential optimistic future presented by the original series and The Next Generation in favor of a grimdark dystopian vision.

@mmaranda Glad you're already back in character! You missed a crazy episode, my friend. First the group did an Ashlan blood ritual to astrally project themselves with the mortal component of Lift's soul and almost got lured into Limbo.
@mmaranda Then they found the portal to the Happy Hunting Grounds and the Great River of Souls (the good one, not the Styx), where the souls of the dead Cherin and Ashlan live in giant floating cities. They couldn't find dry ground to land in and of course the Brothers McDamage don't swim!
