I've been thinking about a couple of stories I've heard from friends over the last few that have stuck with me. I've realized (this is on me) that a LOT of people have never physically been in a nursing home or rehab facility. Both of my friends are middle aged white men. Both stories are similar. The one friend has been very sick this past year. Due to compounded circumstances, he agreed to go to a rehab facility. After 1 night, he checked himself out, AMA.
