why is nobody pointing out the fact that none of these were built by aristocracies. literally all the impressive stuff here was built by monarchs. countrycels stealing valor from courtchads because they have no achievements of their own MYTH: nobles are warrior elites who earn their fiefs through hereditary military service to the sovereign
