I humbly thank the people of Georgia, who have entrusted me with the representation of our great state in the U.S. Senate.
My team is working diligently on the transition so we can begin to deliver results immediately upon taking office.
This victory was built on years of hard and smart work by organizers and activists across Georgia. And was only possible thanks to the heroism of civil rights heroes like John Lewis and Amelia Boynton, who put their lives on the line decades ago fighting for voting rights.

After my wife Alisha was diagnosed last night with COVID-19, I got tested this morning at Wolf Creek Amphitheater in Fulton County, Georgia.

I'm good at the internet and I'll be honest — it wasn't easy to figure out testing in Georgia.
The state's DPH web site is just plain bad.
An isolated & ailing senior would have a lot of difficulty.
I finally found the info I needed on Fulton County's web site.

55 years ago today, John Lewis’ skull was cracked by a billy club as he led hundreds marching for voting rights in Selma, Alabama.
They were assaulted.
They were arrested.
They were denounced as radicals, outsiders, and agitators for daring to demand basic human rights.
When I was 16, I read Lewis’ memoir of the Civil Rights Movement, “Walking with the Wind.”
I was inspired & wanted to learn from this man. I wrote a letter asking if I could come to work for him.
So John Lewis offered me a summer job in his office.
A book can change your life!

There's little new about Trump's support for Saudi royals despite their brutal theocracy, corruption, and support for terrorism.
This has been bipartisan US policy for many decades.
Maybe Trump's personal motives are corrupt. And it's plausible Kushner leaked sensitive intel so MBS could crush rivals.
But every administration since FDR has chosen oil, bases, a navigable Gulf, and since 1979 an ally against Iran over human rights or counterterrorism.

Many of you have asked about my plans in 2018, and whether I'll be running for Congress again in the midterms.
Last year's Special Election was never about me.
It was fueled by the passion of so many Americans to fight back against the obscenity of this presidency and our debased political system.
And it was beyond inspiring to join you in that fight. (2/)
