The M5S-PD majority in Italy has presented a proposal for electoral reform. The "very creative" nickname: the Germanicum, because it's a little bit like the German system (yawn). 1
Essentially, it would replace the current, mixed SMD-proportional system with a PR base, on the basis of 63 districts. 2

Taking advantage of favorable market conditions on the back of dovish signaling from the ECB, the Italian treasury has planned a syndicated reopening of a 50-year bond for Monday.

2.8% coupon, Mar 2067 maturity. The government has been unable to reopen this line since January 2018, when market volatility began to rise prior to the last election.

Salvini has been "saved" by Rousseau, M5S's online voting platform.
On Monday, ~59% of voting M5S members opted to shield him from an investigation over the alleged kidnapping of migrants held aboard the Diciotti, a naval vessel, in August, when Mr Salvini refused to allow them to come ashore.
