After I got saved, I tried sharing the gospel with everyone I knew.

Our cocaine dealer was a guy named Brian, who we affectionately called the “White Devil.”

We’d done a lot of evil together and I knew I had to talk to him about Jesus.

So, one night after reading my Bible… …I printed off all the verses I could find on hell, grabbed a hammer, and drove to his house.

At 3:00AM.

I proceeded to nail the verses to his front door.

I’d never heard of Martin Luther, but I guess we had similar zeal.

When I got back home, my roommate’s phone rang…

Today a man lost his car key on a ski slope.

He’d looked for it, but come on…you can’t find a lost key in the snow on the side of a mountain.

Because that’s impossible.

Then, I sensed a strong certainty that God wanted me to pray w/ him and for us to ask God to help us.

1/3 I felt hesitant to pray.

I mean, it felt silly.

What if I ask God and we don’t find it?

But I was certain God wanted us to pray.

So we prayed, “God you know where this key is, please help us find it. You say we don’t have because we don’t ask…so we are asking.”

Today I spoke with a friend who serves as an FBI agent.

He heads up a task force that fights online sexual predators.

It was a sobering and terrifying conversation.

Here are five takeaways and an article.

A 🧵 1. If your child uses social media, they will be pursued at some point by someone who aims to harm them.

If your child has a smartphone, you must have parental controls set and a monitoring system.

Your child is not mature enough to handle the danger lurking around them.

A few thoughts on the recent report of sexual abuse and cover-up in the SBC.

 1. Conversations about this report are not merely a matter of denominational drama or controversy. This is a scandalous afront to the Gospel that has blasphemed God and harmed many innocent souls who should have been protected.

1. Thou shall not sit under a light with a fan lest you incite others to have a seizure.

2. Thou shalt wear clothes if your camera is on, cover your nakedness.
