84 years ago Southern Baptists, American Baptists, and National Baptists adopted “The American Baptist Bill of Rights.”
"There were four varying ideas on the relationship between church and state:
1. Church above the state — a theocracy in which religion controls the government.
2. State above the church — a secular government that is hostile to religion.

1. Teachers. Originally most teachers in Oklahoma were not paid a living wage. We have slowly been edging them closer to what other college graduate professionals are paid. We’re still not there yet. 2. Student to Teacher ratio. In 1970 it was common to have much larger class sizes. Parents today CHOOSE smaller class sizes, increasing school budgets. Individualized learning and specialists are new innovative programs.
