🔰 Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill

This bill seeks to remove commodities like cereals, pulses, oilseeds, edible oils, onion and potatoes from the list of essential commodities.

🔴Will allow stockpiling and promote black marketing This bill gives freedom to anyone for stockpiling but:

🔴realistically only rich corporates with large godowns will be able to make best use of it.

🔴an average farmer or shopkeeper have limited or no storage space at all, so this bill plays into the hands of the corporates.
