Edmond Safra then sold Republic National Bank of NY to HSBC in 1999 for $10 billion.
Gabriel Perahia, listed in Epstein's contact book, was intimately involved with HSBCs acquisition of RNB, and became Investment Chief at infamously corrupt HSBC Private bank in Geneva until 06.
