Farewell to a man of peace🕊️
Oded Lifshitz was one of the founders of Peace Now in the western Negev. But Oded was also a father, husband, grandfather, and a founding member of Kibbutz Nir Oz.
He was the salt of the earth.
🧵👇🏽
Oded’s memory will continue to inspire and guide us as we strive to build a future rooted in peace, equality, and dignity for all.
His life reminds us that it is never too late to honor his vision and work toward the peaceful future he so deeply believed in.

A Major Victory for Peace Now at the Supreme Court!
Today, the court accepted our petition and ruled that from now on, the state must publicly announce any intention to allocate land outside the boundaries of settlements in advance.
⚫️ What does this mean?
For over 57 years, the State of Israel has acted as it pleased with land in the occupied Palestinian territories, operating without transparency and disregarding principles of good governance.

With your incredible support, and in less than two weeks, we’ve already raised 80% of our goal for the “We Will Not Die for Settlements” campaign.
Together, we will make clear that we will not die for settlements.
This criminal government has broken that contract.
They want to build settlements in Gaza.
Over the bodies of hostages. Over the bodies of soldiers. Over the ruins of Gaza.

🛑 Enough is Enough!🛑
After last night’s pogroms against innocent Palestinians by settlers in Huwara and Beit Furik, it’s time to call it what it is:
settler terrorism is on the rise, emboldened by the Israeli government.
🧵👇🏽 1/ Yesterday, an illegal outpost near Nablus was evicted.
In response, settler terrorists attacked innocent Palestinians, burning homes and cars. They know they can act with total impunity.

Annexation Hidden Behind Archaeology 🧵👇🏽 1/ Tomorrow, the Knesset’s Education, Culture, and Sports Committee will discuss a dangerous bill to extend the jurisdiction of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) to the West Bank. This is not about archaeology—it’s about annexation.

The government approved the “Economic Plan for 2025 - Structural Changes,” also known as the “Arrangements Law.”
This includes various programs and reforms designed to reduce budgetary spending and support the implementation of the government’s broader economic policies.
🧵👇🏽 1/
Some of the plans in the Arrangements Law require legislative amendments and will be presented to the Knesset for approval along with the budget proposal, while the rest came into effect as a government decision on 31/10/24.

Today, the Ministerial Committee for Legislation will discuss a proposed law by MK Moshe Solomon of the Religious Zionism Party, which seeks to allow settlers to purchase land directly from Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Currently, Israelis are prohibited from purchasing land in the occupied West Bank directly; they can only do so through companies registered in the Civil Administration’s company registry, and only after obtaining a transaction permit from the Civil Administration.

Infrastructure for Annexation:
The government Decided to Build Israeli Power Plants and Solar Fields in the Occupied West Bank
🧵👇🏽 1/
On 31/10/24, the Israeli government decided to build two Israeli power plants & allocate 2,000 dunams for solar energy projects in the West Bank.
This is part of the "Economic Plan for 2025 – Structural Changes."
And Israel, it seems, is carrying out ethnic cleansing.
Under the codename "General's Plan," horrific war crimes are currently being committed in northern Gaza.
🧵👇🏽 1/
Displacement, starvation, and the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian residents from the area are underway to reestablish Jewish settlements in Gaza.
An order to commit a war crime is an unlawful order—one that must be refused.

Since 7.10, Israel has established over 47 outposts across the WB and claimed 24,000 dunams as state land. Residents of Khirbet Zanuta and other communities were forced out by settler violence.
Annexation is a reality for Israelis; ethnic cleansing is a reality for Palestinians.
Since October 7, 2023, at least 47 illegal Israeli outposts have been established across the West Bank.
The Israeli government decided to turn five outposts into settlements and legalize three as neighborhoods within existing settlements.

This afternoon, in our new seminar for young peace activists, we met Fakhri Abu Diab.
Israel demolished Fakhri’s home in Silwan, occupied East Jerusalem, last February, citing a “lack of necessary permits.”
Such permits for Palestinians in EJ and the WB are VERY rare.
🧵👇🏽 1/
Abu Diab’s family had lived in the home for generations, with parts of the structure dating back to before 1967, when Israel occupied East Jerusalem.
Hundreds of families are under immanent threat of eviction in Silwan.
Nothing can change the fact that we continue to pay the price of merely managing this conflict.
Countless families continue to be sacrificed on the altar of war; hostages remain in captivity; and many more innocent people bear the cost.
But one truth has become clear: 1/
It is time to end the war.
It is time to end the bloodshed.
It is time for a hostage deal.
It is time for a political solution.
We need what most of the people here—Israelis and Palestinians alike—truly want:
Security and Peace.

30 years have passed since the signing of the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan.
This historic moment showed us the power of diplomacy over war and destruction, proving that only peace brings lasting security for both sides.
🧵👇🏽 1/
The Israel-Jordan agreement stands as a reminder: peace is achievable when leaders are committed to it. Yet today, our leadership offers only more destruction, suffering, and death. We must hold our leaders accountable and demand a different path.

🚨🚨🚨 THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT IS FUNDING (JEWISH) TERRORISM! 🚨🚨🚨
Data we’ve gathered, published in an extensive investigation in Haaretz’s magazine, shows that Netanyahu’s messianic and criminal government isn’t just failing to stop Jewish terrorism in the West Bank—it’s actively funding it.
