Easy to tell when you look at the follower count, very, very hard to tell when shared into your feed. Impossible actually without clicking through.

I watched the most recent episode of Andor last night and goodness, it really is good, isn’t it? It feels like the first thing since the proper three original films that’s really worthy of diving into the whole world of it - it has characters you care about, it takes… …the political side of it seriously, and it has a kind of heavy, old-fashioned slowness about it - in the best possible way - that gives the entire thing a kind of timeless weightiness.

This study seems just a tad undermined by the fact that it categorises pointing out to a politician that they’ve lied or contradicted their own position as ‘abuse’. I do think online abuse of people in public positions, obviously and particularly women, is a serious issue, but if you’re going to try and exaggerate your point by making the criteria meaningless, you’re not going to bring a soul with you.

Any future election not won by not only the GOP candidate, but the most extremist GOP candidate is in such trouble. I think a lot of regular ppl still see US politics as a partisan conflict between two sides who can’t agree but have equally valid viewpoints. I’m not sure many people appreciate the degree to which there are candidates *standing* on the non certification of democratic victories.
