When it comes to the land being threatened, the soil is defined as "class 1", which means there are no significant limitations for what crops can be grown there. This soil is rich with nutrients, and able to produce top quality crops that feed communities. 🧵2/4

We had the privilege to attend a meeting today with landowners, public interest groups, environmentalists & politicians to discuss solutions for the farmland loss issue in Wilmot. If this land expropriation goes ahead, there will be devastating long-term impacts: 🧵1/8
