I thought I’d write a thread with a blow by blow account of this part of the writing process, to motivate myself & share some insights!
1/ Image My lovely editor starts off with some enthusiastic praise, using words like “complex“, “intriguing“, “ambitious“, “brimming with potential“ and “set to be your best book yet”.

Just like the COURTSHIP LOVE story, the MARRIAGE story makes a great "sandwich" genre.
A MARRIAGE story can work as a great sub-plot to an EXTERNAL genre (such as THRILLER, SOCIETY or HORROR)
It also binds deeply with INTERNAL GENRES (stories of profound character change).
