Whenever you feel Iraqi as a Kurd remember that Iraq threw mines around Barzan hidden as toys to kill and injure children. Remember they gassed Halabja with chemical weapons, remember that they buried your brothers and sisters alive from Garmiyan and Barzan. Remember that since the creation of Iraq sone 90 years ago, they have done nothing for their “northern brothers” as they call us when suitable, other than made us fatherless, widows and raped us, tried to take every bit of dignity left in us, but ultimately failed.

And this is the “democratic” country the west forces upon us Kurds. We’re forced to participate in the democratic process, but when our counterparts influenced by Iran threaten with arms, we are supposed to sit idly by and accept this. I grew up in Germany, and have always been pro west, but the last few years I see more and more the hypocrisy by which the west enforces it’s policies. It’s sad to see the west has lost all credibility in politics and most importantly, has lost faith in itself.

With the upcoming New Year I ask all of us to love one another more, let love and (2/4)

I remember that hot summer night. The unstoppable wave, the black flag that is conquering and massacring. Yet amongst all this fear I found a familiar voice. A voice that told tales and stories of warriors. Warriors that face death and overcome, warriors that ... Laughed at those who claimed to come in the name of god, who destroyed what is dear, and what is loved. I remember that summer night. Hot it was, hot and dusty. It was one similar to the stories I’ve heard before, they came, and we fought...

In the 80s Saddam Hussein signed an agreement with Turkey that they have the right to enter Iraq 30km in order to chase the PKK. Likewise Turkey gave Iraq permission to enter Turkey 30km in order to chase the Peshmerga. Until this day, both have not abolished this agreement.(1/7) According to int. Law, the KRG is completely powerless towards Turkeys incursion into Kurdistan. Iraq continues to allow Turkey to enter its air and land borders in order to “fight the PKK”. Kurds are left with 2 viable and realistic options. (2/7)
